Search and rescue resources come primarily from citizen volunteers who give of their time and personal resources:

» To assist in finding lost or missing persons including first aid and evacuations.

» To provide a training structure and documentation to ensure a qualified group of search and rescue volunteer members.

» To promote Child Find Identification within the community.

» To promote public education of wilderness survival and outdoor safety.

» To promote community disaster preparedness by supporting the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training in coordination with the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office, Department of Emergency Management Services, local agencies and neighboring counties.

WWCSSAR responds to missions in Walla Walla County, mutual aid calls in Washington State, and has responded to mutual aid requests in Oregon for Umatilla County. If you enjoy the outdoors and helping people, consider joining or supporting your local Search and Rescue Council of Walla Walla County. As trained professionals, we strive to bring back your loved ones as safely and quickly as possible.
